This film records an afternoon on Vis that functioned as a formal interruption to a long holiday, where the equipment for the week took precedence over the logistics of a ceremony.\n\nA British couple brought their existing lives to the rugged Croatian coast, letting the wedding serve as a brief tactical pause in a week of surfing. At Fort George, a 19th-century coastal outpost on the western headland of Vis, the only thing now being defended is a cocktail hour.\n\nThe energy is vocal and unmanaged. A lace cap sleeve wedding dress navigates a hillside dirt path meant for goats, moving against weathered limestone and heavy military stone. In the amphitheater, guests perch on wine barrels and wooden crates under a canopy of swaying paper lanterns. There is no rehearsed performance here; only the casual coordination of two people who have been traveling together for a long time, ending a week of salt air on a narrow shelf of history as the horizon turns to amber.", "thumbnailUrl": ["https://img.youtube.com/vi/ecBPI1zhMOg/maxresdefault.jpg", "https://img.youtube.com/vi/ecBPI1zhMOg/hqdefault.jpg"], "uploadDate": "2018-12-25T13:37:35Z", "duration": "PT26M20S", "contentUrl": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecBPI1zhMOg", "embedUrl": "https://www.youtube.com/embed/ecBPI1zhMOg", "mainEntityOfPage": "https://www.studiodt.com/real-weddings/fort-george-vis-wedding-photos-lace-cap-sleeve-dress", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/real-weddings/fort-george-vis-wedding-photos-lace-cap-sleeve-dress#video", "publisher": {"@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#org"}}, {"@type": "BreadcrumbList", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/real-weddings/fort-george-vis-wedding-photos-lace-cap-sleeve-dress#breadcrumb", "itemListElement": [{"@type": "ListItem", "position": 1, "name": "Home", "item": "https://www.studiodt.com/"}, {"@type": "ListItem", "position": 2, "name": "Weddings in Croatia", "item": "https://www.studiodt.com/destinations/weddings-in-croatia"}, {"@type": "ListItem", "position": 3, "name": "Weddings at Fort George: Why Vis Refuses to Meet You Halfway", "item": "https://www.studiodt.com/destinations/fort-george-vis-weddings-photographer-and-videographer"}, {"@type": "ListItem", "position": 4, "name": "Surfboards, Vows, and a Brief Interruption at Fort George"}]}, {"@type": "Place", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#place-fort-george-vis", "name": "Fort George", "alternateName": "Tvrđava Sveti Juraj", "geo": {"@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": 43.0739591, "longitude": 16.1965975}, "address": {"@type": "PostalAddress", "addressLocality": "Vis", "addressRegion": "Split-Dalmatia County", "addressCountry": "HR"}, "sameAs": ["https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJLw72c5mXNRMRnGKsszf0U88"], "containedInPlace": {"@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#place-vis"}}, {"@type": "City", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#place-vis", "name": "Vis", "alternateName": "Vis Island", "geo": {"@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": 43.0593989, "longitude": 16.1860931}, "address": {"@type": "PostalAddress", "addressLocality": "Vis", "addressRegion": "Split-Dalmatia County", "addressCountry": "HR"}, "sameAs": ["https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJicAc4ou9NRMRVjuzLkUhIDc"], "containedInPlace": {"@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#place-croatia"}}, {"@type": "Country", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/#place-croatia", "name": "Croatia", "alternateName": "Hrvatska", "geo": {"@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": 45.1, "longitude": 15.2}, "sameAs": ["https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJ7ZXdCghBNBMRfxtm4STA86A"]}, {"@type": "ImageObject", "@id": "https://www.studiodt.com/real-weddings/fort-george-vis-wedding-photos-lace-cap-sleeve-dress#hero-image", "contentUrl": "https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67fcd781afb7b32086afef75/6a0a0b614dbd6d746b263188_6a0a0a70d00ecc41e817d1f2_fort-george-destination-wedding-vis-groomsmen-lift-bw.webp", "description": "Groomsmen lift the groom on their shoulders at a Fort George destination wedding on Vis, an airborne bouquet catching the sky behind him.
