Some weddings work like introductions. This one didn't. The couple already shared a child, a life, and an island they kept coming back to. They married at Fort George, the old stone fortress on the headland above the harbour, with friends officiating. There were whole lemons on the ceremony arch, a friend reading from a book nobody expected, and a groom who finished his vows by singing. The bride moved through Vis old town like someone returning, not arriving; this wasn't a destination wedding but a homecoming, and the dance floor refused to break before the morning forced it.
