Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data Studio DT collects through studiodt.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

Studio DT is a wedding photography and filmmaking studio based in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Studio DT is the controller of the personal data described on this page, meaning we decide how and why it is processed. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at gdpr@studiodt.com; we reply to every genuine request, and can provide our full registered business details directly to you on request.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. When you fill out the form at studiodt.com/contact, we collect your name, email, phone number, wedding date, Instagram handle, how you heard about us, your wedding planner (if you have one), guest count, and location or venue. We use this to reply to your inquiry and, if we move forward together, to plan and deliver your wedding coverage. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form, and, once we agree to work together, the performance of that agreement. The form itself runs no captcha and sets no cookies of its own.

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use this site: pages viewed, referring sites, and general location. It is built to work without cookies, without any identifier stored in your browser, and without tracking you individually or across other websites. It cannot connect one visit to another.

Cookies. We set no cookies at all: no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies. Nothing here profiles you or follows you to other sites, so there is no consent banner to click through.

Photos and wedding guests

Wedding photography and filmmaking necessarily include people other than the couple who hired us: family, wedding party, and guests. We treat a couple's own wedding photographs as material we may use in our portfolio, on this website, or in our marketing, based on our legitimate interest in showcasing our work and the agreement made with the couple at booking. We do not use images of guests who appear in those photographs for any purpose outside that same context. This section is about the personal-data side of appearing in a photograph. Who owns or can license a specific image is a separate question, covered on our license page.

Client galleries

Once a couple books with us, we deliver the finished photographs and film through Pic-Time, a third-party online gallery platform. Those galleries can include images of guests as well as the couple, and the couple may choose to let guests view or download their own photos from it. Pic-Time processes that data under its own privacy terms, which we encourage clients and guests to review directly with Pic-Time.

Data sent outside the EU

Cloudflare, who we use for site analytics, is a US-based company, so aggregate traffic data may pass through infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. Because that data carries no cookie or identifier, it cannot be tied back to you as an individual once collected. We have not independently verified the specific legal transfer mechanism Cloudflare relies on, and we will update this section with more detail once we have.

How long we keep data

We keep contact-form inquiries for up to 24 months from your last message to us, long enough to respond and follow up about a wedding date, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as the engagement requires. Aggregate analytics data is not tied to you individually and is kept only as long as needed for our own traffic reporting.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to how we use it. Where our use of your data relies on your consent, such as submitting the contact form, you can withdraw that consent at any time; this will not affect anything already sent or processed before the withdrawal. To use any of these rights, or to request our full business identity and address for a formal request, contact us at gdpr@studiodt.com; we respond to every genuine request. If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you also have the right to complain to Croatia's data protection authority, AZOP (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka), Ulica Metela Ožegovića 16, 10000 Zagreb, azop@azop.hr, www.azop.hr.
