Who owns these photos
Every photograph on this site is mine from the moment I take it. Copyright doesn't need registering or stamping anywhere, it exists automatically, the same way it does for any photographer, and it's held by DT studio. These are not Creative Commons images and they are not public domain. They're copyrighted work, exactly like a photo in a magazine or a frame in a film.
Croatian law also protects two things separately from copyright itself: my right to be credited, and my right to stop an image being altered in a way I didn't approve. Those stay mine even in cases where I license everything else to someone.
What you can do without asking
You don't need my permission to view a photo where I published it, or to link straight to this page or to the gallery a photo lives in. Sharing that link on social media, with credit and a link back to me, is also fine.
What isn't fine without asking is saving the file itself and putting it up somewhere else, your own site, your own feed, your own server. A link and a copy are different things, even though the photo looks identical either way to someone scrolling past it.
What needs my permission
Ask first for anything past that. Editorial or press use, even when nobody's getting paid for it. Commercial or advertising use of any kind. Including a photo in a product, a dataset, or an AI training set. Reprinting it, reselling it, or altering it, whether that's a crop, a filter, or a full edit.
None of this is hard to get approved. It's just not automatic.
How to ask
One path covers all of it, editorial and commercial alike: email license@studiodt.com and tell me which photo, where you want to run it, and for how long. I read these myself, and most requests are reasonable enough that the conversation stays short.
Credit, if you're granted a license
When I approve a use, the credit is simple: Photo by DT studio, linked to studiodt.com wherever the platform allows a link. One name, one link. Not a paragraph.
About the people in these photos
One thing worth saying outright: the people in these photographs are not models and never signed a stock release. They're real couples, photographed on the actual day they got married, who trusted me with it. Any approved use outside this site carries that same weight, so the photo, and the people in it, deserve to be treated accordingly.
