Anna & Matt | After wedding photo session in Dubrovnik

Anna Reist  – a wedding photographer from the United States wanted to have a post-wedding photo session in Dubrovnik – a city she and Matt chose as their honeymoon destination.

It’s a great challenge to photograph a colleague photographer. All of a sudden there’s a doubt – will I be good enough, whether she’s going to like it, are they going to be happy with their photos at the end. But, after the first photo session with Anna, the feeling was amazing and I felt sorry I was doubtful. Everything went so casually and smoothly like we were old friends and I have to admit that it was much easier to take photos of her as she knew exactly what I need and want without any unnecessary arrangements and adjustments. Matt and Anna are one of those couples that are very patient, express their emotions and look good no matter what.

Due to the unusually hot weather, there were big crowds of tourists in Dubrovnik so we decided to start the photo session at 6 am on Mount Srđ. The sunrise was perfect! The peace and quiet accompanied by the sound of crickets is really something that everyone should experience more often.

After we finished our photo shoot, we went to the Old Town that was unbelievably clean that day and somewhat more sleepy than usual so we had a chance to take photos at many popular Dubrovnik spots without any distraction. In an amusing walk through the city, admiring its beauty, time passed very quickly and just when the tourists began to huddle towards the Stradun we finished our photo session and were ready to have our morning coffee :).
