Opatija is located on the shore and has gorgeous seaside promenades, called Lungomare. Most wedding venues are located on this promenade. We have already written about how gastronomy in Croatia is rich, not to mention the most luscious wines, and now it’s time to say something about Opatija wedding venues. The town’s streets are filled with houses distinguished by a specific architecture and with villas from the Habsburg period. One of our favorite locations is Villa Ariston.
Villa Ariston weddings
Villa Ariston is set right next to the seaside promenade between the picturesque town of Ičići and the historic centre of Opatija. The interior of the Villa has been almost completely preserved. The walls are decorated with paintings made by the Dutch maestros with portraits of the baroness Hedwiga, representations of battles, and Lombard still life from the 17th century. At the entrance, inside the Villa, a sample of ancient sculpture can be found, a replica of Auriga of Delphi. All these things are the main reason why we like weddings in Villa Ariston, and we are happy when clients choose us as their Opatija wedding photographer and videographer.
