Hannah & Marc’s Destination Wedding in Dubrovnik, Villa Argentina

When you can’t stop thinking about a place it’s definitely not a passing passion. As soon as we decided that our wedding would be abroad, there were no more debates to be had – the decision was easy: Dubrovnik, a city that we’d fallen in love with a few years ago, in a country where we’ve got so many happy memories.

Yes, Dubrovnik was a perfect wedding destination for us. Before the ceremony itself, we enjoyed our pre-wedding session on the island of Lokrum. As we were strolling around, peacocks swaggered around us, bunnies jumped, spiders patiently wove their webs between cacti… Simple love and serenity permeated the air, and we just couldn’t stop smiling.

A fun-filled week with our closest family and friends led up to a day more perfect than we could have dreamed of! A beautiful spring day, filled with lots of love, laughter, dancing and a few “happy tears” along the way…

We said our “I do’s” at Sponza Palace – they echoed through its countless porticoes and stirred up a little the spirit of history which still resides in this Renaissance palace, the only one surviving intact the disastrous earthquake in Dubrovnik in 1667.

But the Grand Villa Argentina, with its terraced fragrant gardens, its spectacular view of the Adriatic, its secluded stone benches, countless little nooks for kisses, combined with the luxury of its rooms and service – all of this just took our breath away! We had to share this with our closest and dearest family and friends.
